Even though 720x576 (PAL) is not enough. It should be 768x576 for 4:3 and 1024x576 for 16:9 recorded video. Viewing 720x576 on a 4:3 (physical screen) with a display resolution of 1152x864, which is 4:3 too, every thing looks a bit too tall.
