#7 Tracking char and para attributes

The editor gui should "track" the character and
paragraph attributes that apply to text entered at the
insertion point.

One possibility is to use the format menu bar controls
to do this; e.g. by changing the font shown by the font
family selector, colouring the 'bold' / 'italic' / etc
buttons ....

Another (simpler) possibility is to describe the
current font/size/etc in the status message bar.

This is partly done now. I'm not sure what to do about
tracking the style attributes, but font/family/colour
tracking are all provisionally implemented.
