#140 Calibration data for Samyang 35mm f/2.8 lens, Sony E mount

Hi,
Here is the calibration profile for the Samyang 35mm f/2.8 lens, mounted on Full frame Sony camera.
Calibration done for distortion, TCA and vignetting (maybe not ultra precise for vignetting).

Out of curiosity - at what distance did you take the distortion calibration photo? I tried to calibrate this lens and noticed that distortion differs significantly when taking photos of far and close subjects. I don't know if this is even possible or if I was doing something wrong...

Hi. I took the shots at a distance of 4-6m. Barrel distortion is quite negligeable on this lens. And it also depends on your aperture. If you shoot at 2.8 you'll get the "most" distortion. When you're at 5,6 it becomes invisible.
