I have a Nikon 55-200 lens which is identified as Nikkor 55-200mm f/4-5.6 G ED AF-S DX in lensfun. However in the EXIF data from my images the lens is identified as Nikon AF-S DX VR Zoom-Nikkor 55-200mm f/4-5.6G IF-ED.

We have recently changed all the names in the database to better match the names from the EXIF data. However, we only have the Nikon AF-S DX Zoom-Nikkor 55-200mm f/4-5.6G ED in the database. I am not shure if this one is optically identical to your VR version.

      I see.

Is there a way i can make sure it is? Maybe sending a sample image?

      Thanks.

      Atentamente,

Both are different lenses with different optical characteristics. You can get correction data for your lens by uploading images at http://wilson.bronger.org/calibration
