Hi! First of all, the API of tabs subsystem has been changed a lot yesterday, and that resulted in currently broken EiskaltDC++ plugin, waiting for the fix from its author. Regarding changes: IEmbedTab and IMultiTabs interfaces were removed in favour of the new IHaveTabs one, which handles all the cases previously handled by the former two interfaces. Plugins now can open several tabs of different types, and tabs have priorities, so, for example, in most cases Poshuku tab would be opened when user hits Ctrl+T, which is what he wants. And, also, the Chatter plugin has been removed in favour of the Azoth Acetamide plugin, since Chatter is mostly unsupported. -- Georg Rudoy LeechCraft — http://leechcraft.org |

Hi! The void ICLEntry::SetChatPartState (ChatPartState state, const QString& variant) method has been added. The implementation should notify the contact list entry about the passed chat participation state, if applicable. For example, in XMPP in a MUC it certainly won't want to notify the whole MUC about the new state. -- Georg Rudoy LeechCraft — http://leechcraft.org |

Hi! The following new plugins have been added in the recent time, or have changed the set of files they install: Gmail Notifier Notifies about new mail in GMail inboxes. It's disabled by default and could be enabled by passing -DENABLE_GMAILNOTIFIER=True to cmake. Installs: • libleechcraft_gmailnotifier.so to standard LC plugins location. • gmailnotifiersettings.xml to standard LC settings location. • leechcraft_gmailnotifier_*.ts to standard LC translations location. EiskaltDC++ Well, this is the port of the EiskaltDC++ client to LC. This way, EiskaltDC++ could be run as a plugin for LeechCraft. The attached file contains the list of files installed by EiskaltDC++. Please note that the file is for installation into /usr/local, on most systems that would be just /usr, so you should remove local/ from the file when making the list of files for installation. Azoth ChatHistory This plugin now also installs its translations into standard LC translations location. They are leechcraft_azoth_chathistory_*.ts Azoth Juick This is the plugin for the Juick microblogging service. Installs: • libleechcraft_azoth_juick.so It will have its own translations soon. Stay tuned. I hope I haven't forgotten something, but please correct me if I did. -- Georg Rudoy LeechCraft — http://leechcraft.org |

Hi! New plugin is available in LeechCraft, Azoth NativeEmoticons. It makes Azoth support its own format of emoticons packs. The files installed: * lib/leechcraft/plugins/libleechcraft_azoth_nativeemoticons.so * share/leechcraft/azoth/emoticons/native/* The `share/leechcraft/azoth/emoticons/native/` path contains artwork only and may be put into a separate package on systems where that's a common practice. -- Georg Rudoy LeechCraft — http://leechcraft.org |

Hi! A new bunch of more or less working plugins this time. * Azoth ChatHistory, which keeps track of, well, messaging history, finally works. Installs: - lib/leechcraft/plugins/libleechcraft_azoth_chathistory.so * Azoth StandardStyles, supports standard styles for the Azoth chat window. Since there may be different styles plugins (in theory), but Azoth won't work without at least one installed, I suggest having a virtual package for styles plugins and making Azoth core depend on this virtual package. This way, StandardStyles and other styles plugins would just provide the virtual package. Installs: - lib/leechcraft/plugins/libleechcraft_azoth_standardstyles.so - share/leechcraft/azoth/styles/standard/* * Azoth Acetamide, a work-in-progress implementation of IRC protocol. Installs: - lib/leechcraft/plugins/libleechcraft_azoth_acetamide.so - share/leechcraft/translations/leechcraft_azoth_acetamide_*.qm -- Georg Rudoy LeechCraft — http://leechcraft.org |

Hi! I've created a fork for QXmpp today, located at git://github.com/0xd34df00d/leechcraft.git This fork would have new features and patches for the original QXmpp that aren't integrated into upstream yet. This fork is, of course, fully compatible with the upstream both in terms of dependencies and in building process. Substituting the original SVN source tree with this git one would be just fine, and I suggest you doing so since LeechCraft would be dependent on these new features by the end of this day, I think. And, just in case one needs, the original unpatched and unmodified source is at `upstream' branch, while my patches are at `master'. -- Georg Rudoy LeechCraft — http://leechcraft.org |

This morning I've added support for themes to the Kinotify plugin, and, consequently, the themes files aren't embedded into it anymore. Instead, they are installed into $PREFIX/share/leechcraft/notify. Anyway, they should be present on the end user's system, thus I suggest including them into the packages for Kinotify plugin. Also, Kinotify plugin also has settings file now, kinotifysettings.xml, which is installed into usual place for settings files. Please include it into the package as well. -- Georg Rudoy http://leechcraft.org |

Hi! Azoth has finally moved to QXmpp in the `master' branch. Please update your buildscripts and environment accordingly. And, also, please note that we depend on QXmpp from SVN. -- Georg Rudoy LeechCraft — http://leechcraft.org |

Hi! I decided to go away from the Gloox library: despite being mature and feature-rich, it's quite buggy, slow, low-level (implementing file transfer seems like hell there) and resource-hungry. And, most important factor is that it is abandoned. So, the new library used in XMPP protocol support for Azoth is QXmpp ( http://code.google.com/p/qxmpp/ ). It's a pure Qt library for XMPP support, depending on qt-{core,gui,network,xml}-4.5 or higher and it's built with qmake. Please note that by default the build produces static library. QXmpp not so stable and lacks some features present in Gloox (but has others, like Jingle), and it's rapidly growing, and the lead developer is extremely nice and fast to respond. Azoth currently depends on live version of QXmpp (from SVN) cause required features are added now in the trunk, which would be hopefully fixed after some releases of QXmpp. Anyway, one could always build snapshots of QXmpp, just like it was with libtorrent some time ago. As by the moment of writing, master branch of LeechCraft still uses Gloox, and development occurs in another branch, which I haven't pushed to the Github yet. If you'd like to test your builds, or new XMPP protocol plugin, or whatever, just let me know, and I'd push it. -- Georg Rudoy LeechCraft — http://leechcraft.org |

Hi! Recent changes that may (and most likely will) affect the build process and, consequently, build/install scripts: * A new plugin has been added, Poshuku OnlineBookmarks, for syncing with social bookmarking services like Read It Later. It's experimental for now and may not work, but it sounds like a good idea to reserve place for it in build scripts right now. It requires qjson ( http://qjson.sourceforge.net ) library, and it's mandatory dependency for now, but it may be later made optional, and this will be announced separately. Files satisfying the following masks are installed by this plugin: ** usr/lib/leechcraft/plugins/*leechcraft_poshuku_onlinebookmarks.so ** usr/share/leechcraft/translations/leechcraft_poshuku_onlinebookmarks*.qm ** usr/share/leechcraft/settings/poshukuonlinebookmarkssettings.xml * Syncer plugin also installs `usr/share/leechcraft/settings/syncersettings.xml' now. Please update your build scripts accordingly. -- Georg Rudoy LeechCraft — http://leechcraft.org |
