add logging capabilities that will record response time
for each service. use this log to graph response times
to give an indication of performance.

    I'll add response time information to CSV export. Graphs can
    be displayed in a new plugin, which will have to wait a bit.

    The requisite framework to have plugins display panels is done, and is in
    2.2.6 (I believe). The plugin will not make it into 2.3.0, which has grown a
    little beyond its initial spec into a major reworking of the plugin interface.
    So, sometime after the middle of August.
