Hello Marko, Awek and Leaf Users, Awek is right there was supposed to be .img files for serial or vga screen. It didn't happen as we planned, so the right way of preparing a USB key is as Marko describes: The section in the user guide "preparing the flash media" shows you how to format, install syslinux and the mbr. But some leftover .img files are still available in https://sourceforge.net/projects/leaf/files/Bering-uClibc/ in 7.0.0 (Bering-uClibc_x86_64_vga.img or Bering-uClibc_x86_64_ser.img). These files are for x86_64 and will boot a system called "leafinstaller" . These .img files can be copied on a USB key with "make bootable USB stick" , Raspberrypiimager, BalenaEtcher or even "dd" . Booting it will get you in a preconfigured system which can be used "carefully" (I didn't check it) as a firewall. It will also help you generate another three partitions USB key ( in lrcfg menu, use " i) install to disk (experimental) " which will give you a locally accessible target that you can easily set up from a web browser. Make sure to set up the "rules in shorwall" before connecting it to the net and using it as a firewall.
