Secondary Phone

More and more of our members have "His Phone" and "Her Phone" Please consider adding the option to print the Secondary Phone number. Also, we sometimes identify whose phone number it is in the primary/secondary phone number fields eg: "801-123-4567 Dave" and "801-234-5678 Laura", so we would need to have the extra text in the phone fields printed without format standardization.
I understand the desire and considered putting in this kind of functionality. The problem I run into is there is a limited amount of page space to fill. Adding support for 2 numbers would effectively require a phone number column that is twice as wide. If the phone number column is twice as wide, something else has to give. Alternatively more drastic changes could be made in format (2 lines per family, single column format rather than double column, etc.) but all of these changes would make the directory less "compact" and more like directories you could generate from other sources.
Please let me know if there are other ways you can think of for addressing these issues. Would people find it useful to have an option where the address is eliminated in favor of a second phone number?
Just to be clear on the current behavior, when lines such as the one you described above with names and double phone numbers, the program will strip out the names, find the first telephone number, and provide it in a standardized format (separated by dashes). If the program is unable to determine the phone number(probably not a valid phone number), it will be left as is with no changes.

The relief society in my ward had a mutiny when I passed out the latest compact directory. The desire to have a his/her is pretty high in my area. I'd be okay with removing the address to get a second number column. Although it may be possible to squeeze another column in with the short address/middle name elimination.
By way of a workaround...
A while ago an option was added "Use Raw Phone Strings (no phone standardization)". Enabling this option will display household phone numbers exactly as they are listed in the input data. If a ward puts multiple household numbers with some text to designate the owner of each number, this option could be useful.
I'm leaving this feature request open since the option mentioned doesn't quite meet the original request intent. The program doesn't currently make use of the secondary phone number data, or the individual phone number info.
