Hi,
when I use the exporter on Univenion Corporate Server 4.0.2 I can execute the script just once.
Then I get this:
./ldap-csvexport.pl -a displayName,uid,uidNumber -b cn=users,dc=gfm,dc=local -H 127.0.0.1:7389 -u uid=Administrator,cn=users,dc=gfm,dc=local
Could not connect to 127.0.0.1:7389!
(Server says: IO::Socket::INET6: connect: Verbindungsaufbau abgelehnt)

The reason is, that the slapd suddently isn't running anymore. As soon as I start slapd again, I can run the script again. (and the slapd is stopped again)

Note that on Univention the slapd listens to 7389. (for OpenLDAP)
Thats because the Samba daemon uses 389. Using the script to export the samba database works. (port 389)

You can download and test the core edition of UCS for free, if you want to fix this bug. ;-)

Cheers,
Roland Gsell.

Hi there and thank you very much for your bug report!

However i don't think, this is an issue with the tool but rahter a problem with the running slapd (the ldap-cvsexport tool just does standard LDAP requests through the PERL LDAP API and this should never cause server side shutdown; if so, it is most probably a server configration error, ressource problem or server software bug).

Please verify your slapd configuration and be sure to check the slapd error logs.
Critical information here is: what exactly causes slapd to shut down, this should be visible from the slapd error logging.

If you cannot find anything, please ask the Univention and/or OpenLDAP support.
