I'm interested in running LCDproc on a Qnap NAS to make use of the display.
I see that there is a patch date 2013 for a driver called icp_a125, but that patch was never commited...
Is something wrong with that driver?
I tried to apply the patch and compile lcdproc, but a "./configure --enable-drivers='icp_a125'" says:
> ./configure --enable-drivers='icp_a125'
..................................
configure: checking which drivers to compile...
configure: error: Unknown driver icp_a125
Beeing very new to compiling for Linux (or NAS for that matter) I don't know what to do next...

It looks like the patch was submitted 2 years ago and Marcus asked a
question that was not answered at the time, so he probably just left
it on the shelf. He's not available to ask anymore, but I do know
that when he ran the project, he had reasonably high code standard
(most submissions, mine included, were sent back for some changes,
usually minor).
From looking at what's there, it appears that a Sam Binger submitted
the patch and didn't stick around to complete the dialog.
It doesn't mean that something is wrong with the driver, but it's just
in the pipe with some other unreviewed changes. I will be examining
what's on the queue to see what we can get out for the next release.

I don't know enough C and Linux to be of help with the driver and I barely get myself around compiling, but, if it's any use, I can help test lcdproc on my Qnap
