Minutes for Cisco CCNA Study Group 1: Week 1: Monday 10 Feb 2003 Class Topics ========= Geoffrey discussed the following: 1) outline of course 2) suggested book (which has the Cicsco CCNA web site material) 'First Year Companion Book' - 2nd. edition 3) Chapter 1 material Handouts ======= 1) CCNA Semester 1 9 Week Syllabus 2) Lab 1.1.1 PC Hardware For next week =========== 1) Logon to the the Cisco site and go through Chapter 1. 2) Logon on to the Cisco site and read Chapters 2 & 3. Course Notes ========== The required course material and the Chapter assessment exams are on the Cisco web site: http://cisco.netacad.net Henry (the 'other' minutes man) Interested in the applications of technology - past, present and future - especially unusual. |

Hello all, I have activated ch1 and ch2 exams for those who have not done them yet. I will activate ch 3 exam late on sunday afternoon. The exams ramain active for 24 hours. Goeffrey |

I have activated the Chapter 2 exam as of ~10:30 wed morning this will remain active for 24 hours. I have also reactivated the Ch 1 exam for those who have not done it yet. Have fun :) Geoffrey |

We may do a cableing exercise tonight. If anybody has some tool they could bring along that would be great. We need Scraps of cat 5 cable rj45 plugs RJ45 Crimp tools Side Cutters Cable Strippers Punchdown tools Cable testers I think (hope) TAFE has a few tools, I'll bring mine and if you can bring some we will get by. thanks Geoffrey |
