Sorting on First Column causes a crash.
It seems to me this change may require an update to the
SharedFile class; if it does, Joshua wants to make that
change.

James, please look into this, and if the change is in
SharedFile, please tell Joshua what is needed. If the
change is in the CommonTableModel, then, obviously, you
get to make the change.
