Seeing the same thing exactly. Ah well I gave it /usr/bin to chew on and it works, but you end up losing the icons. And your second link must lead to a hidden post. Hopefully this will be fixed in the next version.

I'm using Launchy on Kubuntu 8.04 x86_64.
When launching items from the K Menu, Launchy seems to treat the arguments as part of the filename.
Items whose command consists of a single word work fine, but if I try to launch Kate for example, I get the following error:
Unable to run the command specified. The file or folder file:///usr/bin/kate --use does not exist.
or Gwenview:
Unable to run the command specified. The file or folder file:///usr/bin/gwenview -caption /usr/bin/gwenview %i %m does not exist.
