Whenever I mistype something, the default action is to do a google search for that thing. Usually this is just a typo in whatever program name was trying to pound out. Since I don't bother to wait and see what launchy is matching, but just hit "enter" on autopilot when I'm done typing, this usually involves an annoying 10 seconds of waiting for firefox to load, just so that I can close it, and then launch launchy again to load the program I actually wanted.

Is there a way to make the default action "do nothing" if there is no match found? That way when I hit enter, I can see that I made a mistake, and fix it… rather than sitting around twiddling my thumbs.

Might be a bit late, but whatever.

Go to… Launchy options > Plugins > Weby
Create a new entry, and name it "No results" (or whatever you want the message to be) and set the URL to "None", then set it as default.
The next time you type something into launchy and it doesn't find any matches, it should look something like .

Hey thanks! That works great. It would be better if launchy stayed open, i.e. "nope, try again dummy", but this is a lot better than waiting for the browser to launch just to shut it down. I appreciate the help!

This isn't quite what you're after, but you can remove the default search by opening the Weby options and clicking the Default button immediately.
