From the forums topic: Howto prefer 32 Bit JVM?
Quoting tboerkel: "I installed 64 Bit JVM first and then 32 Bit JVM. When I double-click a JAR, then it will use the 32 Bit JVM. But when I start via the .exe, it uses the 64 Bit JVM. How can I force launch4j to use the latest installed JVM or the 32 Bit JVM (no hardcoding of paths)? "
Selecting 32 bit JVM or 64 bit JVM as required or optional would be a great new Feature / Option
I need that option too, to tell L4J to use 32-bit Java only, or to prefer 64-bit but if not found to use 32-bit.
A feature to limit the JRE/JDK selection to 32 bit or 64 bit VMs would be really handy especially when external JNI libraries comes into play.
A "fork" that include a "limit to 32bit jvm setting" is available at http://fbergmann.github.io/launch4j/
However, it is based on an old version.
I merged it against latest launch4j version. The patch is attached and should apply against last release.
Added feature.
