Running lastbash as such seems to work... though apparently I needed to start the "normal" last.fm client first? Not so sure anymore about that.
But well, situation now is that the "skip" command does nothing concerning the playback.
Debug log shows that the same track metainfo is fetched again, the track keeps playing.
This is also with the svn version...
Did the last.fm protocol change? I hope it's something simple to fix...
Generally, I seem unable to influence the currently played track...
Actually, I would like to point the people asking for scrobbling support in mpg123 to lastbash.
Such a wrapper seems like the proper thing to me for that purpose. Now, if it only would work;-)
Oh, sidenote: It works (well, basically) with mpg123 when you use the --fifo parameter instead of feeding the fifo to STDIN... hm, but not fully ... it ends after playing one track... gotta debug that.
Anyhow, the failure to skip is also real with mplayer. Would be awesome to have lastbash (again) fully working for console last.fm fun...
Well, it won't fix. The last.fm protocol has changed in an incompatible way. We should use the new XML-RPC protoco, but how to do this in plain bash scripting?
Anyway, the bug remains open.
