Hello everybody,
I've got a minor question but just to find out. I have a 192 kbps mp3 (CBR) which I recode with lame 3.98.2
lame --mp3input -V5 infile outfile
Strange is that when I do this under linux I get a average bitrate of 112 kbps mp3 whereas under windows the result is slightly bigger and has an average bitrate of 116 kbps.
I would be very interested in what the reason may be.
Thx,
Frieder
Hi,
different compilers produce different code. What you see may be attributed to rounding errors of decimal numbers (complex reasons behind this, different OS and compilers may use different "modes" for decimal numbers).
