[Lame-dev] mp3x "waving"

In the main branch the mp3X display of channels is "waving" as in this pic:

What I mean is that there is a kind of wave displayed. I would expect to 
see something following a "flat" line with some spikes going up and down 
instead in this way:

Am I wrong?
