I decoded several mp3 files with lame versions 3.97, 3.98 and 3.98.2.

Versions 3.98 and 3.98.2 are 2 or 3 times slower (depending on the compilation) than 3.97.

But I had the problem with version 3.97 that it hangs (application error) when I try do decode a corrupt mp3 file. This problem is solved in version 3.98

OS: Windows XP incl all patches
