[Lam-public] Resetting password locks me out

I’m visiting the self-service page to test my config, and entering my password.  I’m prompted to set my password (Password change required checked), which I do and am taken to the page to modify my details.

If I try to save anything, I get an Invalid Credentials message.  When I try to log out and in, I get the same error.

Is it potentially saving with a different encryption?  If so, where so I modify this?
