I’m trying to configure l2tpd to work as a lns on a Linux Redhat 7.1. To place the calls I’m using two PCs: a Redhat 7.1 with l2tpd configured as a lac and  a Windows 2000 (after removing IPSec).

For both types of calls I’m getting the following message:

    OUTPUT FOR /var/log/messages

At this point I’m clueless as to how to fix the problem.
stdio not equal to tty ??
    Some ideas?

The problem was related to ppp configuration.
I resolved the issue by defining tty in /etc/ppp/options.
l2tpd is working on Redhat 7.1 as a lac and lns. The lns is also communicating with the l2tp client from Windows 2000.
