The summary says it all. Both AdvanceMAME and
SDLMAME (and their MESS variants) have significant
advantages over XMAME for many users and it would
be great if they were supported!

    What exactly is the advantage of SDLmame over the xmame.SDL ?

    AdvanceMAME/MESS has its own built-in frontend and is designed for arcade builder. You don't need kxmame for AdvanceMAME.

    I also really would like support for SDLMame.
    Especially because there are more recent versions.
    0.112 for SDLMame compared to 0.106 for XMame.
