OK, I've packaged quick-usb-formatter 0.4.1. It's in the Kwheezy repo already. Please install and test it, then report results. I have not used it before. It's not showing up my USB notifier yet, perhaps I have to logout/login for it to appear.

The first package I created didn't work. There was no .desktop file, so it wasn't in the applications menu. Also ,the services file which gives you the option to format from the devices notifier was in the wrong path.
It should now work, although i haven't tested actually formatting a USB stick yet. Haven't got a spare one ATM.
