I'm very sad to say that making KDE Connect work on Debain Wheezy is just not possible. I tried really hard, but the chain of dependencies on higher versions runs too deep. KDE connect uses features of KDE 4.9 and above that make it impossible to run on 4.8.4.
Actually, I got it to build and install, but it requires a feature of kde-runtime not available to us.
The reason I made the packaging forum was to get help testing it. It will come in handy at some point, I'm sure.
Bummer, guess I'll have to wait until Debian 8 comes out ;-|
