Well, got the machine and I simply transferred the hard drive from my laptop running KWheezy to the new machine and it booted and is running well with 8GB ram and a quad core processor to play with....happy days.

That's great news. isn't Linux just great that way. BTW, sorry i didn't reply sooner, been too busy for Kwheezy stuff for ages now. It's getting towards time to build a Jessie based version soon, but I don't know if I can afford the time.

Not so much a hardware issue, more a request for information.
I am considering buying this computer

and was wondering would KWheezy handle being installed onto it, or would there be bios / uefi issues?
