The printer utilities, icon found in (applications : settings ) would not set up my printer giving the message "Not supported by this backend". The printer settings icon in "System Settings" was not there.
Solved by installing: system-config-printer-kde using Synaptic. (Package Installer didn't run) This put the printer icon in the System Settings window, that one successfully installed the wireless printer.

Thanks for this feedback. I use the Printer settings in the menu->System->Printing. I didn't notice the system-config-printer-kde in the repository. I will consider including it the next version of Kwheezy.
