User Reviews

  • I have been a Gnu/Linux user for over ten years nowand tried hundreds of Distros, but Iv'e now got two Desktops and an old Laptop all runnig Kwheezy and only minor glitches over the last Six months. Absolutly love it
  • I am a scientist but not a computer scientist or sysop. I need the Debian repositories with a good selection of desktop applications and an interface that is better at getting work done than looking cool. I liked Mepis 8 but it's very old now. Mepis 11 was OK but pretty buggy. Kwheezy is a big step up. (I really think there is no point in a Mepis 14 at this late date.) I also like the support straight from the creator. (Not that Kwheezy needs much support.) Despite years as a user Mepis never let me join their forum. This is the best distro I have seen in years.
  • I've been using Linux since I installed RH 5.0 in May of 1998. I've been using Kubuntu since Feb of 2009. I installed KWheezy 1.3 a week ago specifically to move to a Debian based distro since Ubuntu is moving to Mir and will soon leave Ubuntu based distros on a limb. KWheezy 1.3 is MORE than what I asked for. It ranks right up there among the best distros I have ever used (RH, SuSE, Mandrake, Mandriva, PCLOS, Mepis, Kubuntu and others).

  • This distro has a lot to offer, stability, great user support, rich Kde desktop, consistent track development; after going through 7-8 Linux installations (big and small names) as of late I settled with this one; enough is enough; in short, bug free and no trouble with hardware config is what counts; with confidence I can say this distro will continue to do well.
  • What a great disti. It's a eye candy at all. Thank you a lot.
