#7 Improve automatic width of Categories

The stretch factor helped, but I'd still like if the categories auto-sized based on their content on the first run. Right now on the 1024x768 laptop that I use at work I still have to resize the splitter to get the horizontal scroll bars to go away. Also, it doesn't remember the size from the previous run, so I have to do this every time, if auto-sizing based on the content is too hard (it was starting to look this way to me) then remembering the previous size would be a good solution.
