Welcome to Kucing7 OS Wiki!

Kucing7 Linux is a performance-oriented distribution derived from Zenwalk. While it shares Slackware roots, most system packages have been heavily modified. Consequently, original Zenwalk or Slackware packages may no longer be compatible with Kucing7.

🛠️ Main Installation Steps

1. Prepare Partitions: Create at least two partitions:
   • Ext4: (100 GB recommended) for the system.
   • Linux Swap: (2 GB recommended).
2. Installation: Install Kucing7 to the Ext4 partition.

💡 NOTE:
If your display brightness is too low after installation, reinstall the sysvinit-scripts package found in slackware64/a/sysvinit-scripts-15.1-noarch-36kc7.txz.
How: Right-click the file and select "Install Package(s)".

• Monitoring: XFCE4-Taskmanager, Conky, HTOP, Baobab (Disk Usage).

• General: LSHW, Galculator, XFCE4-Screenshoter, Character Map, File Roller (Archive Manager).
• Compatibility: Wine (Run Windows software).

• Strategy & Puzzle: Brutal Chess, Reversi, KPatience, LLK (Onet-like), Four-in-a-row.
• Arcade: Briquolo, Mega Mario, Trackballs, ZAZ (Zuma-like).
• Action & Racing: Quake 2, SuperTuxKart, FooBillard++.
