Hi Fans ! I would like to discuss a new kshowmail feature. Stephan asked if we could have some kind of killfile. That means: we need some kind of filterlist, that contains filter expressions that apply to subject, sender, or mail content. When a mail arrives that matches one filter expression, what to do ? We could - delete that mail immediatly. I do not like that. If the filter was wrong, you have no chance to get that mail back. - Highlight that mail in the list view (what about a dead man's scull !). You can still look into the mail and decide what to do. You can also deselect them, and select others that did not match some filter (as now). When you press on delete, all selected messages will be deleted. - in a next step, we could have automated actions making use of user commands. I would start with the second option. I look forward to hear your feedback ! Regards Eggert |
