Each time I launch krn and open a message viewing window, I have to resize the column headings to that the subjects are readable. It would be very nice if the layout was remembered from one session to the next.

To make a long story short: to avoid a problem (that columns stretched
themselves automatically to fit the widest item, pushing right-side columns out of view), I had to introduce another one.
I thought it was the lesser evil :-|
However, this will be fixed on the KDE2/Qt2.1 version, which I started hacking today ;-)

Well, sorry, but I am. Not today, maybe not even for next version, but the KDE2 API is now stable, and I could make krn do so many neat things if I switched, that I will. Besides, KDE2 is not so far off, and life is too short to keep both versions working :-P

That's almost impossible using Qt 1.44.
To make a long story short: to avoid a problem (that columns stretched

I hope you aren't going to make KDE2/Qt2.1 a requirement to use krn.
