You''ll have to enable "SCSI emulation" in your Linux kernel. All IDE CD-ROMs 
and burners can be used as they where SCSI devices if SCSI emulation is 
enabled.

KreateCD was not tested with DVD drives - I cannot tell you whether they work 
or not.
