Hi How difficult would it be to adapt the backend to directly pipe output from one program/file to a dao disc. (Without much code duplication) I'd like to implement VCD recording and VCD Imager returns a cue file an a corresponding .bin file, for the given input MPEG streams. Kind regards Joseph Wenninger |

If I remember correctly, you don't need to recompile the designer from QT3. Just use the program qtconfig (or qconfig, not sure atm) and add the plugin directory from $KDEINSTALLPREFIX/lib/plugin to qt's plugin directories Kind regards Joseph Wenninger |

I've been able to recompile the CVS version of kreatecd and would like to try to recreate some of the UIs with designer ... but it's pretty hard without kde extensions in designer. TIA. Jim |

Hi I commit some major changes to improve DAO support and allow CD copy including ISRC and MCN codes and pregap. I had to disable cdparanoia for now until I find a solution that works with cdparanoia. Index mark copies will be possible as soon as the data structures in kreatecd can store index marks We need the GUI elements for pregap etc. very soon now. Alexander |

Hi! To use and test DAO in kreatecd you will have to install cdrdao. Kreatecd depends on the current CVS version of cdrdao for on the fly writing - version 1.1.5 is not enough. I'll try to complete DAO support but I'm extremely busy until end of November Alexander |

We could use some more flags of the CD recorders capabilities: I haven't looked at the code yet, if the text is provided by the CD recorder or if it is generated in cdrecord, but if the output is standardized cdrecord -prcap looks promising Kind regards Joseph Wenninger |

Hi! I am posting my hack for cdrdao (current CVS) to enable DAO on the fly burning until the author supports it natively. NOTE: This hack will be NOT compatible with the final cdrdao version - but we can do testing until a cdrdao version is available which has native fifo support. I'll commit my changes to enable DAO on the fly soon Alexander |
