You can include the MPlayer's -font and -subfont-encoding
options in the Additional Command Line Parameters field. The
font path would have to have no spaces in it, sorry about
that.
Because there is a simple workaround, this request will get a
low priority. Hope you understand.

I would like to say that I know some people that would like kplayer but it is
lacking this specific feature. And having a nice kde font selector dialog is
nicer than finding is way through the horrible and long mplayer man page.
