Google Sync require access to my smartphone Contacts???

I open KP on my Samsung Galaxy S9, select Open Database. From the listed options I select Google Drive. The first thing it wants is access to my Contact, Yes or No. I select no but apparently only Yes will work. Why does using KP and Google Drive require access to all my Contacts?

You ask the question at the wrong place. This plugin has nothing to do with any smartphone app..
