Received as debian bug #99663 from Christian Kurz
<shorty@debian.org>:
Hi,
I run konverse from an aterm inside of sawfish. I get
the window to
connect to my jabber server. After I have connected
to the server, I see
that the preferences are downloaded and after the
following lines in the
aterm, the konverse windows disappears:
| <conference type='private'
jid='groups.jabber.com' name='Text Conferencing'/>
| <agent jid='users.jabber.com'>
| <name>Jabber User
Directory</name>
|
<description>Description</description>
|
<service>users-agent</service>
| <register/>
| <search/>
| </agent>
| </query>
| </iq>
If I then try to select the konverse window it seems
to completely have
disappeared, but it's still in the window list of
sawfish. Therefor I
can't really use konverse or test it. Please change
this one, so that
konverse is also usable when you don't have the other
kde-stuff running.

This behavior is due to the fact that konverse places
himself in the system tray, just besides the clock.
By default, Konverse don't show the main window. Frankly, I
think this is an interesting feature for all Kde users. I'm
not planning to change that.
What I can do is as follow: I'll look to add a command line
switch like --showmain that will make konverse main window
show up by default.
This feature will probably appear only in 0.3.
