*** Reply to message from Stanislav Karchebny <be...@up...> on Wed, 26 May 2004 01:00:14 +0600*** Gosh, I don't know what heading this item would come under , except it's a nice option if it can be done... er, re-phrasing, I *know* it can be done, it was done a million years ago when OS/2 was still sold under that name... but I have a couple of channels I always log into ( onto?) and it would be nice if I could have the Konversation program do that automagically, as it can do now, for one channel. Alternative would be to have a list of channels I can add to on the top menu, where I can then login w/ a clickety click... nevermind the groans there you cli guys, if I wanted to do everything that way I would be using irissi, no? ;^) Actually, what I quite like about Konversation is it's nice clean look, I wish I could separate the channels into separate windows rather than having tabs... it's just easier for me to monitor w/ a quick glance ... but long ago I realiszed that some one saw an Icq program that had all the windows open in one large-ish window, and I think, perhaps tabs really are an improvement on that. It is a pity there is no paypal outlet in Russia, I made a donation to the Freenode Nonprofit thru them, and one doesn't actually have to have an account w/ them, just to send money every now and then. Although the "I'll pay X amount to the devloper who creates Y feature" might be encouraging, Maybe better a fee for being on the "advisory board" for the development of Konversation?? That has a bit of a "cool" factor that can't be denied. Tshirts, "golf shirts" , etc. w/ some sort of registered Konversation Advisory Board logo.... ( and in secret, for those who actually pay money to the development, a number or secret password, or silly joke that only the real Advisory board members know.. ) After all no point in keeping someone who wants to buy the tshirt, and support that way from sending in the money. I do not know if the companies which do that actually are a good deal for the people who use them. As I understand it, someone from the group creates the design and says what they want it on, tshirts, mugs, and I don't know what else... and they handle the rest of the trasnactions, including getting the money to the developers... However, that is just a thought off the top of my head, and probably isn't even a very good one... Still, keep up the work on the program, I'm sure we will find some way to support you ... at least as well as 10-12 people who have talked here already can do... -- j -- nemo me impune lacessit it's just an afterthought; okay ? : The Terrorist Credo: You can make friends by exploding bombs in public places |
