#136 SFTP Protocol Support
Please include SFTP protocol support for Open Standards Secure FTP to protect sites authored by KompoZer from malicious activity via insecure FTP transmissions.
I would like to be able to recommend your program to our enterprise as a replacement for Netscape Composer, now abandoned as a product by AOL, but our enterprise Policy states that passwords can not be stored or transmitted in Clear Text, and the use would be to manage sites exposed to the Internet creating an unacceptable risk profile.
I would consider a paid license product if support for SFTP was a part of the product.

Yes SFTP support becoming the mainstream and please also include a choice of custom port definition since for added security some run ssh on high port
other than the default 22.

It would be better to remove ftp/sftp from Kompozer in my opinion. thats additional code bloat that isn't needed. This because we have plenty of ftp tools.

that makes no sense to remove it! Its alot faster to just upload the files directly from the editor, work with Dreamweaver for a sensable amount of time and you will see.

My company also requires the use of SFTP or FTP over SSH in order to access our development site. Without this, I can no refcommend this product to our company.

Yes, SFTP support is the one thing that would make the largest difference.
Right now noone here can use Kompozer other than locally, while we would
have tons of users if it had SFTP support.
When looking through the feature request list it is easy to get blinded by
the many things people request. SFTP is the thing that would have a huge
impact on the number of users, since thousands of users simply don't touch
Kompozer at all until it has SFTP support!

Seconded. Everyone needs SFTP/SCP. Site manager is useless without it.
Add this, please! I can't use plain FTP with my site at work, so without it, the file manager is useless to me.
