Thumbs

• This is a summary of kmttg Remote tab, Thumbs sub-tab.
• Tivos will only show up in this list if "Enable rpc style communications with this Tivo" is checked in the Tivos tab of the kmttg configuration panel.
• Allows you to display and manage your TiVo Thumbs ratings.
• Table shows all thumb ratings that you have entered for this TiVo. Note that you can change or remove thumb ratings using the table. See Modify section below.

Refresh

• Select desired TiVo and click on the Refresh button to start a kmttg job to collect information from the TiVo. Once the job completes the table will be populated with Thumbs ratings obtained from the TiVo.

Save

• Once the table is populated you can use Save... button to save your thumb ratings for this TiVo to a file on your computer. i.e. Thumb ratings backups!

Load

• Use the Load... button to load a previously saved Thumbs file.
• If you intend to copy a Thumbs rating to a particular TiVo then you should 1st select that destination TiVo and then use the Load button to load in Thumbs, then you can use the Copy button to copy a thumb setting to the currently selected TiVo.
  • NOTE: For items loaded from file kmttg will display a Loaded: prefix in the SHOW column in order to clarify that these were loaded from file.

Copy

• NOTE: You can only copy thumbs ratings to series 4 and later TiVo units.
• This is used to copy selected thumbs in the table to one of your TiVos.
• Select 1 or more rows in the table that you want copied, then press this button to initiate the copy. You will be prompted for destination TiVo to copy to.
• If you want to copy from a previously saved thumbs list, then use the Load button to load thumbs from a file, then use this Copy button to copy selected entries to a TiVo.
• NOTE: If rating already exists on destination TiVo then it is overriden by a copy.
• NOTE: You can use Ctrl-A to select all entries in a table.

Modify

• NOTE: Only thumbs ratings for series 4 and later TiVo units can be modified.
• The RATING column can be edited directly in the table. Modify 1 or more entries as desired to change thumbs ratings. If you want a thumb rating to be removed, assign a value of 0 in the RATING column.
• If you enter an illegal integer (out of the -3 to +3 range) kmttg will attempt to correct it.
• Once you have modified all the desired ratings in the table, press the Modify button to apply the changes to the TiVo.
• Any modified entries will be detected and applied to the destination TiVo.
• Once each modification is made the table will be automatically refreshed to show updated Thumbs list as seen by the TiVo.
