remote_channels Edit

This is a summary of kmttg Remote tab, Channels sub-tab which works only for series 4 or later TiVos. Tivos will only show up in this list if "Enable rpc style communications with this Tivo" is checked in the Tivos tab of the kmttg configuration panel.
Allows you to display and manage your TiVo My Channels lists. You can edit the table to define which channels are received or not and you can backup and restore your channel received settings.
You can edit RECEIVED column boolean for any channel. Once you have finished making edits use the Modify button to save your changes to the TiVo.

Select desired TiVo and click on the Refresh button to start a kmttg job to collect information from the TiVo. Once the job completes the table will be populated with current channel list settings for the TiVo.

Once the table is populated you can use Save... button to save your channel settings for this TiVo to a file on your computer. i.e. channel list backups! This file can loaded at a later date into this table, then individual selected entries from the table can be copied to a TiVo series 4 or later of your choosing by using the Copy button.

Use the Load... button to load a previously saved channel list file.
If you intend to copy a Season Pass to a particular TiVo then you should 1st select that destination TiVo and then use the Load button to load in Season Passes, then you can use the Copy button to copy a season pass to the currently selected TiVo.
- NOTE: For items loaded from file kmttg will display a Loaded: prefix in the SHOW column in order to clarify that these were loaded from file.

Export channel list to comma-separated-values (csv) format for easy viewing in Excel or similar programs. Spreadsheet includes both included and excluded channels from channel list.

This is used to copy selected channels in the table to one of your TiVos.
Select 1 or more rows in the table that you want copied (ctrl-a selects all entries), then press this button to initiate the copy. You will be prompted for destination TiVo to copy to.
If you want to copy from a previously saved channel list, then use the Load button to load channel list from a file, then use this Copy button to copy selected entries to a TiVo.
Note that only channels which currently exist in the destination TiVo lineup will be considered, based on channel number.

The Modify button is used once you are done making edits to the RECEIVED column of the table and want to save your changes to the TiVo channel list. Only entries whose RECEIVED value in the table are different than the current TiVo setting will be changed.
