I recorded a TV program on my TiVo Premier XL. Playback on the TiVo to my TV is perfect. I transferred the program to my PC using the latest version of kmttg (as I do with hundreds of programs), then I opened the file with VideoReDo TVSuite v5, and there is no audio. When I look where I would normally see the visual representation of an audio signal, there is nothing (no squiggily yellow or blue line).
Obviously, the program has audio, because I can watch it with audio directly from the TiVo. Has anyone encountered this problem? Any suggestions for how I can correct/restore the audio, either by re-transferring the file (I've already tried this several times with the same result), or fixing it on my PC? Here's the program info from VideoReDo:
File:
Name : M:\My TiVo Recordings\Front and Center - CMA Songwriters Series Steven Tyler 2016-05-03 (WNJSDT).TiVo
Size : 4.973 GB
Duration : 00:59:09.23
Mux type : TiVo
Video:
Encoding : MPEG2
VideoStreamID : xE0
Frame rate : 29.97 fps
Encoding size : 1920 x 1080
Aspect ratio : 16:9
Header bit rate : 64.000 Mbps
VBV buffer : 976 KBytes
Profile : Main@High
Progressive : Prog or Int
Chroma : 4:2:0
Bit rate : 10.639 Mbps
Captioning : EIA 608
Field order : Bottom field first
Audio Stream: 1 (Primary)
Codec : AC3
Format : DVD VOB
Channels : 1.0
Sub stream id : x80
Bit rate : 128 Kbps
Sampling rate : 48000
Sample size : 16 bits
I noticed that the "Field order" is "Bottom field first." Isn't this unusual? Could this be the cause of the problem? How do I correct it (if necessary)?
Thanks,
poochboy

If you are downloading as PS .TiVo file try downloading as TS .TiVo instead or vice versa. I've seen problems reported previously where for some programs using TTG results in no audio at all which is a bug in TiVo web server that is serving up the transfer.

Kevin -- I just want to make sure I know how to do what you're suggesting. This should be as simple as: File > Configure > Program Options > check the box for "Download TiVo files in Transport Stream format". Did I get it right?
Sorry, but this still resulted in a .tivo file with no audio :-(
Arrgh! This is so frustrating! I know the audio is contained within the file inside the TiVo. I just need to find a way to transfer it to my PC. Do you have any idea what's so special (ie: screwed up) with this file that it stubbornly won't transfer its audio?
Thanks in advance!

Yes, that's right. If you have another TiVo perhaps try MRV to that TiVo and then transfer from that TiVo instead. Otherwise can't think of anything else to try since we have no control over what the TiVo web server is giving, so short of trying to record it again you're out of luck.

I just installed kmttg and am trying one tivo download to test the config. I also am getting a .mp4 output file with no sound while the .ts file in \mpg_out has sound. Also, download/save works fine using Archivo. My tivo is an old Premier XL that still works fine (knock on wood). I am guessing I have something configured wrong for the encode. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Update: result is unchanged (no sound in .mp4 output) when downloading from a Tivo Roamio. Trying different profiles also has no effect. KMTTG must be broken because of some change other than tivo web server.
