I use kmttg to download & decrypt video from my TiVo Roamoi. It all works great with very good quality video.
Is there any way to get the Closed Captioning data to stay with the video so I can see it when I play it on a PC?

Depends on your playback device. If you are using VLC on a computer, it can read .srt caption files that accompany the video file. (.srt files can be generated using kmttg "captions" task).

Thanks for the info. I didn't know kmttg would generate the .srt files.
After playing with the files and VLC for a bit I realized that the menu for Subtitles had changed and I didn't catch it. Once I told VLC to display the "Closed Captioning 1" the cc data displayed as I had expected it to. I am using VLC Ver 2.1.3
