Kmttg, Does it always have to download a .tivo, or can I just download a .mpg/.mp4 without downloading .tivo also ? I am wondering if it isn't sophisticated enough to convert it in-stream and converts from the .tivo file to mpg or whatever after the download.
I have searched for an option where it doesn't download .tivo but can't see one in the convoluted mess of an interface (So much for User Interface Designing after all these years.)
    Thanks for you time !!!

You select an "Encoding profile" that encodes the .tivo to an .mp4. I use the "hb_tivo_hd_crf" profile, which is Handbrake for a Tivo HD recording, to an MP4 container, constant quality CRF=21, h.264 video, ac3 audio.

If I looked deeper, I could probably find the profile settings and the handbrake options to change that to H.265/HEVC video and AAC/MP4a audio.

I don't do any other processing (no TS download, no qs-fix, no ad detect or cut, no encoding, etc.) as I use another program (MCEBuddy) to do that, and convert the mp4/h.264/ac3 into the mkv/h.265/aac file I really want anyway (after the ad removal while it is in mp4/h.264/ac3 form from the Tivo). To keep things simple (and not overload the Tivo), I have the "only download one file at a time" option set.

I also have the "delete .tivo after decrypt" option set, and use Plex-friendly file naming:
    [mainTitle]-S[season]E[episode]-[episodeTitle]-[originalAirDate]-[startTime]
