I've used kmttg for many years on several Macs without any problem but I'd like to get it on my newer laptop. Problem with kmttg upon fresh install of v2.4o -- first sign something is wrong is that it didn't find my TiVos (on the same network), nor could I manually install them by their IP. I notice that on startup on first install, it shows a large number of "Extracting File" activities and then "mdns error: Can't assign requested address" -- displayed in red. There's a suggestion for us Java 8 users at sourceforge.net/p/kmttg/wiki/mac_osx_installation/ of running some code in Terminal, but Terminal kicks back a couple of feisty lines:
rm: /usr/bin/java: Operation not permitted
ln: /usr/bin/java: Operation not permitted
Sorry for throwing so much out there -- thought something there might be a clue to my problem.
Thanks,
Terry

Gave up. Purchased EaseFab Video Converter, so I'm just using Firefox to grab ".TiVo" files then run the EaseFab to strip the wrapper and deliver mp4 at original resolution. Seems to work well.
