add a "reason" to play the game, e.g.
- deathmatch mode: score the most points to win, stops
after XX kills or XX minutes of play
- team deathmatch: same as above but teams based on
color. Allow team-damage ratio, e.g. 0 = no damage to
mates, 100% = normal damage as to enemies
- capture the flag: team play, find the flag (or flags
or some object(s)) and bring it back to team's base.
Player's tank should probably be slowed down when
carrying the flag.
other crazy/silly ideas:
- pinball mode: shots "pinball" other players around
rather than exploding/killing
- capture the tank: fire nets/tractor-beam type device
to capture opponent tanks and bring them.. to base?
team wins when all team's tanks are captured?
- capture the moving target: a AI object flies around
the map, players/teams must try to capture the object
and return it to base. Player's tank is slowed when
carrying "object". If killed during returning to base,
object is "released" to roam around freely again.
