With me the problem is that it doesn't really react on the shortcuts. I often have to press them a few times, before it works. This is in Kile, but not in Kate. I ran Kile 1.6 on my (standard) SUSE 9.0 machine (ftp-installation), running KDE 3.1.4. When I had this problem on my Debian box it was gone after upgrading to the 2.6-test series kernel and around the same time I upgraded KDE to KDE 3.2 alpha. Not much help in pinpointing the problem I'm affraid. Some more things... When I use the Edit menu to select the row-selection it works nice. If dynamic word-wrap is switched on it works, but looks rather funny (as lines get wrapped to the next line, and selections sometimes too). Anyway, I hope this helps... /Martijn |
