Well, I've gone ahead and done it...
There is now a fork on github.com.
It uses CMake iso qmake and for windows uses MSVC iso MinGW.
It does not have an official github release yet, but delivers AppImage for Linux-x86 and Linux-ARM, a Wndows installed (unsigned as yet) and a zip you can extract anywhere (not really a real Portable app but it does the job). And finally it delivers a MacOS Silicon app (ad-hoc signed so 'unknown developer' but apparently there are ways around this.
Functionality pretty much the same. Added -g/--graph and -t/--text so it can start from the terminal with only the Grapics Outout or only the Text Output. -a/--app is still there. Wanted to get it running before further changes.
