Hello,
this may be difficult to explain but Kid3 is pretty much screwing encoding and tags for every file I throw at it. I kind of suspect it may be even issue with some underlying library somewhere. But what is actually happening:
I am using KDE neon, which pretty much fits to ubuntu 16.04 with uptodate KDE libs. I was using Kid3 before and it was working flawlessly. I have no idea what may be causing this. Almost looks like some hardware issue appearing, but that would be weird since everything else works normally. When I try Kid3 on other machine it works.
Maybe it would be possible to at least point me where I could start look for an issue?
Unfortunately, this is a known problem on KDE Neon, see

Ah, thanks! Solution was pretty easy in that case. I guess can close this ticket then.
