Hello,
Two difficulties I always face with Keepass:

01 - Adding characters to password ( this is the important one )
When creating a password using the password generator, I notice you have a "SPECIAL" selection for adding special characters. The problem I face is that - some sites limit special charters to just a few. This is an issue.

You also have the "ALSO INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING CHARTERS" option. If I put the allowed characters in there, these characters do not always appear. I have seen cases where none of the characters were included ( I tested again just now ). I feel a better module for this section would be to:

  • add an option to say how many characters listed must be included in random,
  • then, only these characters MUST be added

eg. If i add !@#$%^&* to the list and say I need only 2 of these... then I need any 2 of these that MUST be added to the password.

Please could you assist with this.

02. Search / drill-down group headers
In the keepass main screen, the left pane has all the group names. It would be good to have a search field that will drill down as I type a word. They should only show those groups with the words typed and highlighted in a colour - but also display their parent group names.

Or is there something that already does this ?

Thank you for your assistance

    1. Random characters means none are guaranteed. This is correct. To guarantee a character use patterns.
    2. KeePass does not search as you type for performance reasons.

    I agree with Paul.
