No

I'm using a non-mainstream browser, so there are no plugins available for auto type support. However, I have the site's URL in the browser's window title. I'd like to have KeePass CTRL+ALT+A hotkey to match the browser's window title not with the title field in KeePass but with the URL field in KeePass. Is this already possible somehow? If not, it'd be great if it got added to KeePass :-)

I'd like to have KeePass ... match the browser's window title not with the title field in KeePass but with the URL field in KeePass.

Browser window title matching with the URL field in KeePass usually won't work without a browser extension or KeePass plugin because the browser's window title doesn't usually contain the webpage URL. The browser's address bar contains the URL, but it is not accessible to KeePass without a plugin such a WebAutoType (see below).

    • If your non-mainstream browser does post the URL to the browser window, then check An entry matches if its URL is contained in the target window title and/or An entry matches if the host component of its URL is contained in the target window title in Tools>Options>Advanced(tab)>Auto-Type(section).

    • Check if your non-mainstream browser has an extension that will post the URL or hostname component of the URL to the browser's window title. See KeePass plugins for links to this type extension for common browsers.

    • Check if your non-mainstream browser works with WebAutoType plugin. Note: Some browsers require the user to change a setting in the browser, e,g, https://sourceforge.net/p/webautotype/discussion/general/thread/d1e23f3ce7/#ffb4

    • If you can't find a way to match the webpage URL you can still configure custom auto-type sequences for entries. The entry's title does not need to match the browser's window title in a custom auto-type because the target window is defined in the custom auto-type sequence. Create custom auto-type sequences in the entry's Auto-Type tab in the Edit dialog.

If your non-mainstream browser does post the URL to the browser window, then [...]

This would be almost what I'm looking for. I'm looking for the same behavior as the chromeIPass plugin, i.e., "match the URL in the title, regardless of whether it has www or not in it", unfortunately, this would be a bit harder to implement, I can see that that's a problem.

BTW: chromeIPass is unfortunately no longer maintained nor is it any longer available in the Chrome Store - it should probably be removed from the KeePass plugins site)

I went with WebAutoType, set the necessary flag in my Chromium-based browser and it works now. I even replicated the same behavior as the chromeIPass plugin had, see https://sourceforge.net/p/webautotype/tickets/18/ if someone is interested.

    Best regards,
    Dominik
